Oh I idea a surface volume is a laptop or tablet...so if yo accept a monitor then arn't there any external adjustments buttons off the monitor to accommodate color bios . brightness, Contrast, height, width ect ect....there has to be unless it's remote controlled... heh
I used to repair monitors...but those were older ones...but notwithstanding the new ones have those options either on the front end or the side.

A surface book is a tablet, which is irrelevant when the heading says EXTERNAL monitor. And no, there obviously aren't any buttons on LED Cinema Brandish monitors, otherwise I wouldn't have posted this message.

Past the way, past spending hours searching the Cyberspace and doing some serious "hacking" I accept at present managed to control the brightness on the external monitor. Not thanks to this forum or Microsoft'due south audacity to offer paid support for something as simple as getting a £2500 computer to control the brightness of an external monitor.

Your terminology is unclear...what does this take to do with Windows 10....it is weird to connect another monitor to a tablet..heh... your $ sign does not friction match this country either....skilful luck mate.

It'south got everything to do with Windows 10 considering that'southward the operating system that should let me control the brightness of an external monitor. The Surface Volume is both a tablet and a laptop, so in that location's nothing weird about connecting an external monitor to it. What do you hateful past "this country"? This forum is international.

I'thou experiencing the aforementioned problem with an external monitor that's connected to my laptop. I confirmed that all my drivers were upwards to date like you did but I even so tin't control the the effulgence. Could you please clue me in as to how you were able to piece of work it out?.
